I came back from KL last night, was terribly tired, but somehow when i m overstressed i dont get sleep. First i thought maybe i wud drink some whiskey, then i declined that thought, then i decided to catch up with a movie, i bought the CD long back but didnt had the time to watch, actually honestly since it was a hindi movie, i deliberately ignored it as then i start missing my motherland...:)

Anyway i watched the movie Kabul express starring John Abraham, Arshad Warsi, Salman Shahid Hanif Hum Ghum and Linda Arsenio...Its a fantastic movie about 5 people in an adventurous journey, one american journalist, two indian journalist, an afghani and one Pakistani major who served as Talib for 6 years. I must praise the director Kabir Khan for not fucking up the base of the story and keeping it very simple, yet very exciting.

I have been to that country twice, once during the early days of Talibaan rule and once after the Northern alliance and allied force led by US uprooted the talibaans. Its a fabulous country which had been ignored by the whole world for many years. The galant afghanis with their never say die attitude really impressed me and i hope now that things are slowly changing there, one day we will see the afghanis back in business again. The dry fruits will replace the opeum again just like the old days....
